Ingredients for the Wonton Mix:
- 2 fist of cabbage
- 2 medium carrots – thin slices
- 250 -300 gms. veg wonton
- 1 fist finely cut red onion
- 1 fist fresh and finely cut coriander leaves
- 3 strands of chopped celery stalks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt as desired
Ingredients for the Sauce Mix:
- 2 tbsp. hot sauce (any chilly sauce)*
- 1 tbsp soya sauce
- 1 tsp worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1/2 tsp mustard sauce
- 2-3 tbsp grapeseed oil*
Preparation:
- Boil water in a big sauce pan;
- Add cabbage, carrot, wonton and celery and bring the mix to a boil * ;
- Add salt and after 2-3 minutes, drain all the water in a colander. Now add olive oil and mix it well. Keep it aside;
- In a separate pan, heat grape-seed oil. Once the oil has heated, add onions and saute for few minutes;
- Add all the sauces mentioned under the ingredients for the sauce mix;
- Now add the wonton mix from the colander and bring it to a quick heat;
- Remove from pan and serve it hot.
Tips:
- Kindly adjust the spice to your liking. You can add more as per your desire at the end;
- Do not boil the mix for too long as the veggies will become very soft;
- You can use any cooking oil instead of grape-seed oil;
- You can experiment with the different sauces for e.g. sweet and sour sauce or hoisin sauce;
- All the sauces are readily available in the grocery store;
- You can substitute veg wonton with non-veg wonton
