Slow Baked Leg of Lamb with Yogurt

Ingredients for marination:

  • 1 Leg of Lamb
  • 1 tsp crushed ginger
  • 1 tsp crushed garlic
  • 1 1/2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 tbsp kashmiri chilly powder/paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seed powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala powder
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt as desired

Direction:

1. Mix all the ingredients above to form a thick marination sauce

2. Wash the meat and make some slits in the meat. Apply the marination sauce prepared above all over the meat and keep it in the fridge for about 24 hours

3. Grease the baking tray with olive oil and bake the meat at 300 degrees Fahrenheit for about 2 hours

4. Remove from the oven, turn over the meat and apply 2 tbsp butter. Put it back in the oven and bake for another 2 hours at 300 degrees Fahrenheit.

Leg of Lamb is now ready to be served either as an entree or cut into pieces to be served as an appetizer.
